Cafe Belson Review

Cafe Belson BreakfastThey have only been around for about a year now but Cafe Belson is definitely worth discovering if you haven’t yet.

A favourite among the Brunswick St offices, they have done all too well to keep this little dime under wraps! While its all well and good for those coffee and fresh food lovers, the rest of us can thank Eat Brisbane for helping to shine light on Cafe Belson once and for all!
Their motto is to do the simple things right, which is something I know we can all appreciate!  Whether it’s your morning coffee, a fresh salad for lunch or a little 3.30-itis treat, Cafe Belson will be sure to suit! While it doesn’t have a million choices available, what it has is plenty and for the indecisive ones among us (me!), it makes choosing all that much easier.
Something major we can also appreciate is the very affordable and realistic pricing that Cafe Belson offers. Nothing on the menu exceeds 10 dollars, with breakfast menu items maxing out at $7.50. I got way to excited to see Sourdough w Avocado for $5.50, when i literally paid over 20 dollars for a takeaway version of this + a regular coffee. Its good food and Cafe Belson arent taking advantage of Brisbane’s growing foodie interest and the willingness (unfortunately) that we all seem to have for paying more. Affordable pricing is very refreshing and warming to see!
They source bread from local, passionate Brisbane Bakers, who create by hand their rolls, toasted ciabatta and crossant. If gluten isn’t your thing then you’ll be happy to know they have a killer roast veg salad!
They ticked all my coffee boxes by serving my latte with delicious Genovese bean with Bonsoy Organic Soy, but everyone at the table enjoyed their choices, whether they were latte, cappuccinos or – even better – thick and creamy blueberry smoothies.
If you are looking for somewhere to chill out and watch the world pass by, then Cafe Belson has the perfect French styled glass windows to enjoy the view from – in fact, that’s the feature that first captivated the now owner!
Enter 4/57 Brunswick through one of Brisbane’s heritage listed buildings, the Bell Bros Building, and enjoy some traditional features, unique charm, great coffee and a fresh menu!
