New in Brisbane – March

So much to do, so little time. Here’s a way to prioritise – follow our must do’s. Fitness, food, coffee, recipes and health events, you could easily schedule your weekends around this list alone.

Food & New Openings

Fresh n Wild Fish

Fresh fish, fresh prawns, fresh oysters and fresh Moreton bag bugs…*drool*. Who else is head over heels when it comes to fresh seafood? Not only is it a good source of protein, but it also high in vitamins and minerals – hello much needed selenium, iodine, zinc and iron! For your next seafood fix, avoid the usual fish and chippery options and head to Portside Wharf where the newly renovated Fresh N Wild Fish will give you a fresh and healthy take on what you can order.

Piggy Back Cafe, Jindalee

Brisbane’s favourite Pawpaw team are expanding and thankfully to the #westside! We can all finally rejoice for some fantastic food and even better vibes and essentially all that is offered at Pawpaw! The new menu focus includes light & healthy (our fav) breakfast and lunches, with seasonal changes (also our fav). We enjoyed sneaky little breaky at Pawpaw to satisfy our tastebuds in the mean time and to highlight, once again, what we can expect from another Venzin cafe. Piggy Back is set to open on 21st March, so mark it in your diaries asapy.

Cafe Brisbane’s NEW healthy menu

It’s not often you can randomly stumble upon a paleo or vegan meal at a ‘normal restaurant’. In fact, how many of us have tilted our noses to cafes that didn’t have some type of ‘health term’ in their title?  Little did we know, Cafe Brisbane was offering high quality, healthy menu items ALL THIS TIME. And it’s not like a ‘oh, that’s healthy’ situation, it’s more a ‘cauliflower and broccoli rice with breakfast’ situation! We were pleasantly surprised and super excited to share this one with you – it’s a definite for your to-do list!

Seven South, Yeronga

Brisbanie-ites! There’s a new café on the Brisbane scene and their customer service, menu, atmosphere and Instagram-worthy-ness is sure to blow your socks off! Their breakfast menu is a real treat; with so many delicious options it was a tough decision to pick our (healthy) favourites #thestruggleisreal, but we think the struggle is very much worth it. Brisbane is going crazy for this beautiful, modest and delicious cafe and we believe it’s rightfully so, you just have to try for yourself!

Sparkling Detox Tea

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Sick of brewing your detox tea in this heat? This recipe jazzes things up to take that detox tea to the next level – the next sparkling level! Tea in general is something we all love, but of course we also love (possibly even more) the teas that promote health benefits, such as skin evenness, reduce bloating and satiety. Can you imagine a world where you can drink these benefits all day, every day? This recipe shows you how – check it out here.
