It’s always exciting to see new restaurants opening in Brisbane, but it’s even better when they have healthy options available on their menu!
The chic layout includes combinations of darkened wood, steel and brass makes for the perfect venue to impress friend’s and family. Your’local’ just got a pretty impressive upgrade, and the menu matches the calibre of the design. The best part is that the menu isn’t going to break the diet or the budget, so it’s a true win for everyone.
Specialising in charcuterie, The Croft House offers quite a favourable afternoon venue. If meat isn’t your thing, their Farmers Board should do the trick, with marinated garden vegetables, olives, feta, Italian bread and garden greens pesto (can personally recommend this one – super delish!).
For lunch, there is a delectable range of salads and sandwiches available to go. We also spotted the Toasted Rye, avocado, Binnorie dairy goats cheese and soft poached eggs (love a breakfast for lunch option!).
We are sure you are all aware, healthy dinners aren’t as easy to come by. Yes, the breakfast options and health cafes have come a long way, but many of them don’t stay open past lunch. Here is where Croft really shines, their deliciously healthy dinner options! With a focus on authentic, locally sourced and seasonal, we knew we were in good hands.
Treat your self and your insides to the Slow Cooked Darling Downs beef brisket w cauliflower, roasted onions, chimichurri (GF), deliciously soft, pull apart and we all know the health benefits to slow cooking! We also fell in love with the Char Grilled Borrowdale Pork with savoy cabbage, baked apple, cider and headed mustard sauce which was also GLUTEN FREE! In fact, most of the items are, which goes to show the quality of ingredients and the cooking style, i.e. no nasty fillers added through where they easily could be (and would be elsewhere!).
And once again, always an option for the veggos, and a pretty impressive one at that. Spiced roasted eggplant, chickpea curry, slow cooked sweet potato, chermoula, preserved lemon yoghurt (#YUM!).
