That’s right, our favourite annual foodie celebration is almost here and to say we are excited is an understatement! What’s even more exciting is that we’ve got exclusive insight into FIVE top secret events that you cannot miss – and we are sharing them with you FIRST before anyone else finds out!
Hosted by Citi every July, the Brisbane Times Good Food Month brings together Queensland and Australia’s culinary best as part of an exciting list of dining experiences. You know how all of your favourite restaurants have 1 or 2 hats? This is the month they receive them.
Brisbane also gets treated to a series of fantastic events, some of which you may not yet be aware of… but that’s the point of this post (#keepreading)! Okay so you probably know about the mouth-watering favourite, Southbank’s Night Noodle Markets, which is promised to be better than ever in 2017. But what about the Young Chefs Lunch, the Hats Off Dinner (now ‘Hat Swap’) OR the Launch After Party (our personal favourite!)? It’s a guaranteed good time at these Featured Events.
But are these healthy options, you ask? Fear not, as we cannot forget the growing presence of superfoods, slow cooking, vego options and #sustainability that we see spread through our favourite menus. As Venessa Cowell, Director of Food events at Fairfax Media said: “Brisbane’s food scene consistently delights with a genuine sense of respect for ingredients and pleasure at creating inspiring dishes for food lovers.”
Food lovers? That’s us. And there is much room for moderation during Good Food Month (we just might increase our KX Pilates classes to make up for allllllllll that good food). Prepare yourselves for some pretty tempting events below!
